You may have noticed our Kindergarteners had taken a break from their Bush Kinder yesterday to care for the local flora and fauna of which they enjoy exploring. They took this time to clean up the local community – and what a collection of rubbish it was!
Whilst only taking a short walk around the local oval, we managed to collect a tarp full of rubbish – as you will see pictured. This collection proved very impactful to our little learners, as their awareness of sustainable practices and the way in which they themselves discard of waste become of great concern and interest to them.
Our Educators were amazed at the impact of this excursion, where in one community walk with a unified key aim and goal, we have found in our Kindergarteners a community of environmental advocates.
