This week our Kindergarten children had the opportunity to participate in a Multicultural Rhythm Fun incursion with Jo the Rhythm Man.
Throughout the session the children were introduced to percussion instruments from Africa, South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East and Indigenous Australia.
Children explored what the instruments are made of, how they are used and where in the world they are from.
Children also discussed their own cultural backgrounds, discussing various parts of the world they had visited.
We enjoyed playing different percussion instruments, singing, dancing and having lots of fun whilst learning.
They also had the opportunity to have a turn on the drum kit in front of all their peers and educators.
