Here at Kids on Collins we acknowledge and respect all cultural celebrations that take place around the world. Pancake Tuesday means different things to different people but for us it simply means a day of deliciousness. Today our dedicated Educator and volunteer cook Sarah, spent her time making pancakes for the children to enjoy for afternoon tea. Our room educators organised a number of different experiences to fill the morning before the delicious treats were delivered by Chef Zohra.
Some children used materials from the dramatic play area to create pretend pancakes using all the necessary ingredients while others used felt to cut out circular pancake shapes and decorate them with all sorts of imaginary toppings.
During afternoon tea, all of the children enjoyed some freshly baked pancakes served with an assortment of spreads.
