Today we celebrated Diwali. This is India’s biggest and most important celebration of the year. Mridu, an educator here, came dressed in her traditional dress, in which she looked very beautiful. She showed the children her traditional clothing and some even enjoyed dressing up like her. Mridu also did cooking with all the rooms. They made chocolate Laddu balls which is a traditional Indian sweet and sweets are very important during DIWALI. Mridu also did some Henna painting on the hands of the children in K3-5 and Pre-school. The henna is a paste associated with positive spirits, good luck and beauty. Thank you Mridu for such a wonderful day.
