Today we celebrated “Love your Pet Day” at Kids on Collins. Each child was invited to bring a photo of their beloved family pet and many children shared stories of interactions and adventures with their cherished animal companions. The children in Southern Cross West (4Year old kinder) were lucky enough to get the gift of a class pet to mark this special day. The newest member of our Kids on Collins family is a little goldfish that will now be aptly named “Orange”. Our Flinders West group (3 year old kinder) have been exploring  Life Cycles and now have the opportunity to watch their very own pet butterfly develop from a chrysalis that Mr Russell sourced for them. Having pets from a young age teaches children some valuable life lessons such as responsibility, trust, compassion, respect and patience.
