Rainy day play can bring about some truly wonderful imaginative experiences. The educators in Swanston Street (Pre-Kinder) have been collecting cardboard boxes and these became the focus of today’s exploration. The children used the boxes to build towers, make trains and cars, play peekaboo and hide from their friends. This play experience lasted all morning and the creative ideas just kept on coming. Room Leader Leah said she had just as much fun as the children during this amazing affair. Something as simple as a cardboard box can inspire great creativity and imagination as children build upon, transform and reinvent their ideas.
